Grid congestion is a hot topic in the world of the energy transition. Grid congestion literally means: traffic jam on the electricity grid. Recently, the grid operator informed the municipality that there is only 20 Megawatts (MW) of space left for new large connections to the electricity grid. Companies wanting a new or larger connection are on a waiting list by the grid operator. How are these choices made, who gets priority, and how are all the different companies kept satisfied?
